Andrew Hoard, General Manager

Aslan's principal and founder is Andrew Hoard, an American businessman who has been living and working in Ankara since 1990. 

Mr.Hoard was one of the founding managers of FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş., a major manufacturing company in Ankara that former U.S. Ambassador Mark Grossman once referred to as the most successful Turkish American joint venture in the history of the country.  Mr. Hoard was initially the Materials Manager and then later the Assistant General Manager responsible for operations and served an extended term as Acting General Manager. 

In 2001 he left FNSS to form Aslan International.  Aslan originally focued on subcontract procurement an export from Turkey and then engaged in a major manufacturing program, building a small factory to produce naval air conditioning systems for a German customer.  After completing that program the factory was closed andthe company has refocused on consulting and education.

Mr. Hoard has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and an MBA from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.  He speaks Turkish fluently and has lectured on Turkish culture and taught on general business practices both in English and Turkish.
